• Minimum of 3 colours, base colours with shadow and highlight
• Some shortcut techniques may be used, like the use of Drybrushing or speed/contrast paints.

Glancing Hit

• Mid-tier, “Tabletop Plus”.
• Base Colours with colour modulation (light to dark) 
• More attention will be paid to certain areas such as faces and weapons. 
• This tier can include techniques such as sponge weathering and streaking grime.

Direct Hit

• High tabletop, close to display-worthy.
• Clean blends, extra highlights, better basing 
• Base Colours with colour modulation (light to dark) 
• More attention will be paid to the model as a whole, with the inclusion of edge highlights and more advanced techniques such as NMM (non metallic metals). 
• This tier can include techniques and materials such as oil washes, weathering techniques and advanced techniques such as wet blending, non metallic metals and object source lighting.
